Lictor Camo Painting
The Lictor is perhaps the most fearsome genus of Tyranid. A master of stealth, a Lictor can strike anywhere with no warning. Here, three hobbyists give you a few ideas how to paint these deadly creatures.

Build a Digestion Pool
When the Tyranids take over a planet, they devour all of its resources and convert them into biomass. A final step in this process is the foul digestion pool. Time to roll up your sleeves and build one.

The new plastic Carnifex is perfect for conversions, especially with all the extra bitz it has on its sprues. Ty Finnochiaro couldn't resist the call of such a monstrous modeling opportunity. Here, he presents six Carnifex variants that spawned from his demented synapses.

How to Play the New 'Nids
The most lethal aspect of the Tyranid species is its ability to evolve. We've seen this trait manifest in the very flesh of the Tyranids. Yet, the Hive Mind adapts its tactics as well. Marshall Jansen shows Tyranid players how to do the same.

The Tyranids are without doubt the most alien race encountered by Humanity. They
have been likened to a galactic swarm of locusts, remorselessly hungry and too
numerous to stop. Tyranids are a nomadic, space-dwelling race that has migrated
from beyond our galaxy in search of new resources to consume. Under the direction
of the Hive Mind, Tyranid Hive Fleets have bored into our space. These Fleets
have discovered sustenance in abundance in the forms of the Imperium of Man and
the other species of the Milky Way galaxy. Tyranids continue their endless advance,
seeking planets to strip of bio-mass before moving on, leaving nothing but a
ball of scoured rock in the wake of their titanic swarms. What's worse, no one
seems able to halt, let alone reverse, the Tyranid tide. |
